Angol nyelvtan 12: A friend of mine
Egy újabb birtoklás kifejezéséről szóló videó. Tételezzük fel, hogy van egy csomó barátod, haverod. Egyikük meglátogat téged, megisztok egy kávét és beszélgettek. Hogyan tudod tehát kifejezni azt, hogy az egyik barátod jött meglátogatni?
Egyik lehetőség a ‘one of my friends’. Általában ezt használják a nyelvet tanulók. Van azonban egy másik nyelvi struktúra, ami nem kevésbé gyakran használt, tehát érdemes megismerni: a friend of mine.
Ebből a videóból azt is megtanulhatod, hogy hogyan tudod ezt a nyelvi szerkezetet alkalmazni akkor, ha nem egy dologról beszélsz (two of my CDs) ill. mi történik akkor, amikor megnevezed a személyt (one of John’s photos).

A friend of mine
Hiya. A rattle… a ladybird… another rattle… and… my baby daughter! And, of course, all these toys are hers. 3 of my daughter’s toys. This tells us that you can see 3 toys, right? And the toys are my daughter’s, correct?
Now we can kind of paraphrase the same idea saying:
You can see 3 toys of my daughter’s.
Last week two of my friends dropped in (or visited us) for a coffee. How many friends? Two friends. Whose friends? Mine. We can now say the same idea this way:
Last week two friends of mine dropped in for a coffee.
Let me show you a couple more examples:
He’s one of my father’s friends. How many friends? One friend. Whose friend? My father’s.
He’s a friend of my father’s.
Some of their friends came to see us. How many friends? Some friends. Whose friends? Theirs.
Some friends of theirs came to see us.
He borrowed one of my lenses. He borrowed a lens of mine.
You sent me one of your cartoons. You sent me a cartoon of yours.
She showed us a couple of John’s pictures. She showed us a couple of pictures of John’s.
It was one of her ideas. It was an idea of hers.
