Hiya.
As you already know, we’re staying at a lovely Hotel near Ponzone. The hotel is in the mountains so we have to drive every day to have a good meal in a small town called Acqui Terme. But it’s fine with us because the drive is quite scenic: there is stunning view everywhere.

But now check out the road. What’s it like? First, it’s very quiet. There aren’t many cars, and there’s little traffic.

As we’re in the mountains, sometimes the road is very steep. It’s going up and up and up like this. Or, it’s going down and down and down. So, the road is very steep at some points. And it’s not only steep but it’s also winding. It turns left and right and left and right. It’s a winding road or a twisting road.

My son, Dominik counted the number of turns from our hotel down to Acqui Terme. It totalled 132. That’s correct: there are 132 turns in this 15km-long road. Is it a winding road? Sure it is. Is it steep? Yes.

And around our hotel, it’s bumpy too :)
