Look after or take care of – használata videón
“Look after” vagy “Take care of”?

Videó leirat – Look after or take care of
Hi, Imagine this: here we got a big beautiful garden. Once you’re going on holiday for a week or two, you definitely need someone to help you. You know with the loan plants and fruits. So you need someone to take care of your garden, or look after your garden. To take care of your
garden. Or look after your garden.
What’s the difference?
Well those take care of and look after are the same: To treat something carefully so that it stays in good condition. The nice garden has to remain nice. The clean and tidy house has to remain clean and tidy. The clothes have to remain in good condition and so on.
Here is an example: All the neighbours take care of their houses, so they do everything to keep their houses in excellent condition. They clean them up every day, they renovate and paint them regularly and so on.
All the neighbors take care of their houses or all the neighbors look after their houses.
Here is an other example: Don’t worry about the garden I’ll take care of it while you’re on holiday.
Oh don’t worry about the garden I’ll look after it while on holiday. So I do everything to keep it clean and nice.
You can also use take care of and look after when you talk about people or animals: The babysitter is coming to take care of the children while we are away. Or the babysitter is coming to look after the children while we are away, so she will have the kids, give them food and drink make them go to bed in time and so on.
She will take care of them, or look after them.
But still are there any differences between take care of and look after?
Sure, there are when it comes to usage. Look at this example:
All the neighbors take care of their houses. Now you can add some words to the phrase like this: All the neighbors take good care of their houses, or they take great care of their houses, or they take excellent care of their houses, and so on.
When it comes to look after, you can add for whom to the phrase:
I’m going out now, you got to the kids for me please. No worries I’m going to look after the bags for a while you’re buying the tickets. That’s all for today, now go practice and see you soon.
